Relationship Counseling
Relationship sessions are done
jointly, and are generally completed in an hour to an hour and a
half. Each
person meets individually with Shanti Mai, developing compassion for
the
other and learning to see their own role in the drama.
Seeing how the
other serves as our own mirror,
whether the other person seems to "get it" or not, can help
us to handle what we can change, which is - - merely
ourselves. Feeling from the other's viewpoint helps us to drop
our
guard and see the situation with clarity and freshness.
Then
both
(or all, in the case of family work) come together and share, with Shanti's guidance and
assistance, what is needed in order to proceed in a healthier way.
Generally one joint session brings enough clarity to get off to a
fresh start, equiped with a depth of mutual understanding and
personal tools to work with.
Relationship Testimonial:
"Shanti Mai's unique style of counseling opened up a dialogue in our marriage. It has enabled us to talk without fighting and has taught me how to be emotional instead of angry.
The work we did that day continues to resonate and illuminate. I suggest that anyone who feels they need help in their marriage or life try Shanti's Intuitive Counseling, especially if you have been turned off by other types of talk therapy."
