About

Shanti Mai

A spiritual teacher, an intuitive, a healer and an empath, Shanti Mai’s very first client was herself. Guidance came from within as she navigated her especially tough life.

Fluent in both Eastern and Western traditions and techniques, Shanti Mai credits the lineage of Ramana Maharshi and 17 years of single-parenting her four children as some of her greatest teachers.

As a child, Shanti Mai thought and spoke a lot about God and studied metaphysical topics independently while still in elementary school.

At the age of 16, driving solo for the first time, an ambulance rushing by brought Shanti Mai to such tears that she needed to pull over, overwhelmed by the emotional ties to the events around her. This was the first time Shanti clearly realized that she was an Empath.

She graduated with a B.S., Cum Laude. Planning to head to grad school to become a Teacher for the Deaf, she attended Gallaudet University for the Deaf as an exchange student. She became a lecturer for Grad School classes in Education for the Deaf, as just an undergrad herself.

She shied away from promising positions in that field, feeling guided instead to study and become a teacher of Transcendental Meditation.

Shanti Mai can teach you to identify suppressed emotions and how to distinguish between intuitive guidance and your ego or mind; Can help you to find yourself, then teach you to begin to heal yourself.

Experiencing the Oneness at the basis of life can have a powerful impact on your relationships, your work, prosperity issues, health - on any and every aspect of your life.

Often Shanti Mai's clients experience this in their first session. It requires only a desire for truth and an interest in experiencing your unchanging nature, which is inner peace.

The term “Intuitive Reading” often involves the use of tarot, astrology, numerology, palmistry, psychometry, etc., but can also be done by quieting the mind: Intuition is heard or known when we are still. This is how Shanti Mai’s work is done. Years of teaching and practicing Transcendental Meditation have aided in her ability to have a silent mind.

Although Shanti Mai is knowledgeable about Astrology, Numerology, Reiki and other mediums, she doesn’t use them in her work. Shanti Mai reads Energy (can feel the resonance of truth – or the lack of it!) and is also Clairaudient, a Clairsentient and an Empath.

Shanti Mai’s readings are done by phone session, as well as in-person in her home office in Olympia, Washington (USA) in pandemic-free times.

No in-person events are scheduled through Summer of 2021. However, if you’d like to be informed of in-person availability at psychic fairs, healing expos, etc., contact us. You can also invite her to do a workshop or event in your town.

"From an early age, I realized I was an empath. I could feel other people’s feelings and later realized that it could be useful to others. But first I had to learn to handle it myself. It wasn’t easy!

I’ve been interested in spirituality and intuition since I was 9 or 10. It was called ESP then – Extra Sensory Perception (meaning beyond one’s own senses). Anything you put your attention on grows, so the amount of attention I’ve put on “ESP” since I was 10 is plenty! My intuition helped me to navigate through some very frightening and dangerous life experiences, and became my “saving grace”. I’ve worked on it a lot.

I’m skilled at having an “empty mind” when a client needs me. This is one reason I love my work so much – it aids me in being who I really am, too."
